The concept is inspired by the natural and flowing movement of the wave. emphasising on creating a lively yet personal space for the occupant to rest dine, cook, and relax. As requested by the client, the colours will be kept monochromatic with white as the dominant element. Lastly, the apartment is designed with a rooftop concept. Therefore, this space has a skylight, giving the occupant the best view of nature at any time of the day.

 

 

Occupant Profile:   The occupant of this shoebox apartment is a young entrepreneur who works as an application developer in his mid-20’s who enjoys nature, especially the beach. Therefore, to make the apartment more personal, customised furniture with organic forms will be presented throughout this 6x6 meter studio apartment. Other than that, a futuristic approach is incorporated as it suits his lifestyle who works in the technology field, which looks forward to development in IT. The occupant also requests the apartment to have a corner with spacious book rack nearby his workstation. Lastly, he prefers to have a multifunctional island counter for him to dine from his light cooking.
