Pablo Picasso Blue Period Exhibition
This exhibition is designed to be simplistic as it is emphasising on provoking the feeling of emptiness that Picasso felt through the course of creating his melancholy themed paintings. To give a head start on Picasso’s blue period works, dark blue which is the subject colour used in this collection is featured at both the exterior and interior to hint visitors on the seriousness of the artwork, after a study on colour psychology.
The interior space is kept clean and simple, with the application of the dark blue paint to cover most of the wall surfaces, and a complimentary long seating at the centre. The curve shape of the seating is symbolising an uncertain journey that depicts Picasso’s life at the moment he produced the paintings within the blue period.
